A small forest, that fits into the size of a tennis court, can help restore ecosystems. This is the Tiny Forest method!
Tiny Forest is a concept conceived by Indian engineer Shubhendu Sharma (CEO Afforestt). He based himself on the forestry method of the Japanese tree expert Akira Miyawaki. In the 1970s, Dr. Miyawaki developed a method to restore natural, native forests. He planted more than 1,700 forests, 96.7% of which developed into a resilient ecosystem within ten years. Shubhendu Sharma was inspired by Miyawaki’s approach and translated the method into an urban environment.
